Guest Mode

When using Cadens in Guest Mode, we do not collect any personal information. Your training data is stored locally on your device only.

Account Mode

Coach Collaboration Feature

Cadens offers an optional feature that allows you to work with coaches:

• You may voluntarily share your User ID with a coach
• Once shared, the coach can access your training progress, questions, and answers
• This sharing is entirely opt-in and under your control
• You are responsible for deciding whether to share your User ID with a coach

Data Storage and Security

• Your training data (questions and answers) is stored on our secure servers
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data
• However, we cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted over the internet

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With coaches you authorize: When you explicitly share your User ID with a coach
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Service providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our app (under strict confidentiality agreements)

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Use the app in Guest Mode without creating an account
• Access your training data at any time
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Choose whether to share your User ID with coaches

Children's Privacy

Cadens does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with information, we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of Cadens after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Data Retention

Cadens is a memory training application that uses spaced repetition techniques to help users study and retain information. The App is available in Guest Mode (no account required) and Account Mode.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cadens. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your User ID
• You are responsible for all activity associated with your account
• You must notify us immediately at themis-framework@proton.me if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cadens to:

• Store, transmit, or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the training questions, answers, and content you create in Cadens. By creating content in the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

You are solely responsible for the content you create. We strongly discourage storing sensitive personal information, medical details, or confidential data in your training content.

7. Coach Collaboration Feature

If you choose to share your User ID with a coach:

• You do so voluntarily and at your own risk
• We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for any coach
• We are not liable for any consequences resulting from sharing your User ID
• You may revoke access by changing your account settings or contacting us

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App — including its design, features, branding, and underlying technology — belong to Cadens. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the App as described herein.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CADENS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS (WHICH, FOR A FREE APP, IS ZERO).

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cadens operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
